Hi Maya,
I want to tell you just how sorry I am that you have lost your beautiful 
daughter Meiko. I remember vividly reading her story and how it gave me so much 
hope. Knowing that Meiko had undergone heart surgery and survived, proving all 
the negative doctors wrong, gave me such a lot of courage and strength. I will 
always remember Meiko because of that.
Meiko and I share a birthday and my beautiful daughter Sophie was born in May 
2004 with t18.
We live in the Uk and Sophie was refused heart surgery even before she was born 
because of her t18 diagnosis.
Sophie fought hard for three months and lived at home with us from day three. 
She was strong just like Meiko and I am sure she would have survived surgery. I 
too feel the doctors let her and us dowm greatly.
Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing Meikos story. She was and is a 
precious little miracle and her life will continue to inspire.
