LOL we are an odd lot and have some weird celebrations...:-)) I love reading
other customs around the world and discovered one earlier today that I didnt
know about.Eating 12 grapes at midnight(one for each month of the previous
year) then go outside and sweep the backyard !!!! Breakfast on New Years Day
should consist of something circular...to signify coming full circle .Dont know
about you guys but 12 grapes would have me seeing the new year in on the
bathroom not sweeping the steps ROFL.

Traditionally here we "first foot".Someone with dark hair (tall and handsome if
you can find all three in one man) takes bread and coal and goes out through
the back door , around the outside and back in through the front.....old
spirits leave with him and new ones come in.Bread is so we never go hungry and
coal is so we never go cold.

See I told you we were an odd lot :-))

Have fun and if you do give it a go, remember one simple thing...check that no
one has a digital camera lurking.!!!
