[tri-wings] MISSING Angels

Corinne

Wow, I didn't know about that issue. Here in the UK you get a special
certificate called a certificate of stillbirth or something. (As long as
the child was over 24 weeks gestation). I always thought it was sad for
people whose babies were younger than that, as the loss is no less painful.
This certificate is like a birth and death certificate together.

I hope they manage to get this issue sorted out in the States, as it must be
terribly upsetting for many families, particularly if there are also
financial implications like Bess mentioned.

In our area, if you go with the hospital funeral directors everything is
paid for for infants, which is really helpful for a lot of people. And most
funeral directors won't charge for a child anyway. Its a good job there are
a lot of good people around, for when the law lets us down.
