nation's leaders to help ensure that people with disabilities have
every opportunity to pursue the American Dream - like getting a job,
accessing health care, finding housing, getting an education, and
voting independently.

Dear Leaders:
Too often, people with disabilities are locked out, left out or
overlooked. Although the Americans with Disabilities Act was a
landmark step, many critical aspects of life -- like getting a job,
accessing health care, finding housing, getting an education, and
voting independently -- are severely limited for Americans with
disabilities.
We, the undersigned, ask that you lead efforts to:
Employ people with disabilities and help build a stronger economy with
more contributing taxpayers, an increased consumer base, and an
expanded, diverse workforce.
Create affordable housing options to give people with disabilities the
chance to live and be more active in their communities.
Assure that people with disabilities get the health care they need to
lead full and more productive lives.
Guarantee access to high quality educational services -- including
early intervention and preschool programs for children with
disabilities -- to invest in America's future.
Make all polling places accessible so people with disabilities can
vote.
