I think that the focus of any desision concerning a child has to be made
around what is best for the child.  Life is so very sacred.  There have been
many success stories from people having children with T18.  Try subscribing
to the Tri-med list and ask your same questions.  Your decision should be
made after a lot of prayer and not in haste.  Please don't make any decision
based on a TV drama.
