Hi and welcome to the new members...so sorry that this is where you are.
My name is Kathy and I live in South Africa.  I found this list 2 weeks
after my little Princess Rebecca returned to heaven.  She was 73 days
old, and had been born with T18.  Her initial diagnosis in the womb was
severe hydrocephalus.  It was so bad that it had not been picked up
initially because what was fluid looked like brain.  We were told to
terminate the pregnancy (not compatible with life) but we tried to have
her operated on in utero, in the US.  During the tests required to
confirm her eligibility, the found the T18.  We were again advised to
terminate, but would not.  When she was born, she was amazingly healthy.
No breathing issues, no big heart issues (she had one moderate VSD) and
no other biggies.  One of her kidneys was deformed.  However, she
succumbed to pneumonia when she was 73 days old.  I hate no having her
now, but I never regret the fact that she was in my life.  I would do it
all over again. =20
