[tri-wings] Independence Day

Well, it is now 15 minutes before 11 p.m. in the Central Time Zone of
the USA. Dick and I watched the Boston celebration and fireworks on
TV. Tracy does not do anything special for the 4th. Nearby towns
all do. We don't. I guess the money situation in local government
has had something to do with it.
We used to have the Air Force fly-over of the 4 jets coordinating
every move. And we used to have a "breakfast" at the airport. But
the pastor that used to get that accomplished is retired and quite
elderly. I'm sure he feels like it is someone else's turn to arrange
all of that. There are fireworks in Currie, Balaton, and Marshall.
The furthest town from us in that group is 25 miles away. I thought
we might be able to see the fireworks of the town that is 12 miles
away, but I was wrong.

I missed seeing my family over the holiday, but Wade's family takes
part in all of the festivities of Charity's hometown because Wade &
Charity lived there for about 10 years, too. And we have gone over
there but we always felt like the 5th wheel, if you know what I
mean. And Cheryl and Ali watched fireworks with friends last night -
until really late. Denny had to work last night and today, too,
because he is a boss that gives his employees the holiday off and
then keeps the store open because the whole mall is open. I will see
them on Monday, so I can deal with that.

Guess I've just been feeling kind of lonesome. And you guys are
always here. Thanks.

For those of you from the USA, Happy 4th of July.

Hugs,
