I counted calories and tried to keep it from 1200 to 1500 a day.  Wasn't
really hard and never felt like I was starving.  Started drinking Diet Coke
and using Equal instead of sugar.  It's funny--once I started counting
calories and taking off weight, now when I want something, I check how many
calories it has and then decide if it's really worth it!  I don't count
fat--I just figure a calorie is a calorie.  And when i'm really craving
something, like an Indian Taco, I'll save calories up for it that day.  And
that's not hard when I know I'll be getting what I've been craving later!  I
went fromsize 14 to a very comfortable 10.  I'm really looking forward to
shopping for a dress for Brenda's wedding!
