[tri-wings] Re: How do you tell people?

So many times, it is in "church" where we suffer the most anguish and =
the
least support. "Religious" people can be very hard and cold. Their =
opinions
can seem to be too rigid. And, they can hurt us deeply. Usually the most
pain is dished out at weddings, baptisms, and funerals.=20

The tendency is to pull away whenever we are hurt. The people Jesus had =
the
hardest times with were the religious people, not the tax collectors,
sinners, or even soldiers.=20

I know that you were hurt. But think about your students. The only side =
of
life that they are being taught now is slanted toward the views of the
director. They will soon simply walk away from their faith because what =
they
see is hypocrisy and they won't want to waste their time. However, what =
you
are offering is hope. In the midst of pain (which we will all have - =
death
is part of life), we need to have the tools and support that we need. =
Moral
values and faith are critical to being able to function in life.=20

I urge you to visit with your pastor and dad and fill them in on what =
your
feelings are. Do it with grace and dignity. The kids need you more than =
you
realize.=20

they have trusted me?=20
