[tri-wings] Re: Hello

Dear Brooke,

I am so sorry to learn that your precious Marlee Jonell had to leave so
soon. Nothing about this is easy. I am glad to know that you were able to
plan to have your family was able to meet and hold her though, those
memories will forever be cherished.

Our daughter Rowan was also born with Trisomy 18. She would be 8 this
coming Christmastime. Although she lived for a day, we too yearned to hear
her cry when she arrived. The silence during her delivery was indeed
heartbreaking. I am sending hugs to you, and hope we can be there with you
through the rough road ahead.

With love,
Corinne

Subject: [tri-wings] Hello

My name is Brooke. It has been 2 months today that we lost our beautiful
baby girl, Marlee Jonell. We found out that she had trisomy 18 when I was 20
weeks pregnant with her. We decided to carry her to term, going against many
doctors advice. I went into labor at 36 weeks and 3 days. She was born
peacefully at 3:18 in the morning. It was so heartbreaking when you wait for
so long to hear that beautiful cry and hear nothing. But still to us she
looked perfect. We were able to hold her and kiss her. All of our family was
there and her big brother was even able to stay awake just a bit longer so
he could hold her too. I ran across your web site when I was looking on the
internet for trisomy 18 like I find myself doing often. It is hard to find
people to talk to that know how you feel. I really need that. I miss my
little angel so much. I just wish I could hold her and see her. Thank you
for this site.
