Trisha
I am so sorry to read your message. I know many people will disagree with
me but think carefully about the state you are in.
My first husband hit me only once or twice in a couple of years but then
towards the end of my marriage it got a lot lot more. He cried and
apologised every time he did it and I beleived he was sorry but it never
ended. I found myself frightened to go home to him and in the end when he
called to say he was on his way home from work in London (about 30 mins from
my house) I just panicked one day packed a bag and left and never went back.
I met peter who is gorgeous and fantastic and has never even raised his
voice to me in the six years we have been together let alone hit me.
Think carefully about what you want, it's just in my experince it usually
gets worse not better. I wish you luck and love whatever you decide.
