[tri-wings] Genetic counselling???

 I just got a letter today from the genetics counsellor for an
appointment and they sent a huge for for me to fill out and send
back. it has questions about birth defects, miscarriages/infertility,
learning disabilities, cancer, early infant death, and more.
Why do they ask all these quesions?? They want us to talk to
all our family members, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. they
ask a lot of personal info on them, is there any reasoning behind
this??? They told us when David was diagnosed that we weren't
carriers, why are they doing all of this then?? its totally got
me freaked out so if anyone has any info on it please let me
know
