Friends,

It has been a long time since I've posted. Somehow in changing laptops, I
became unsubscribed. There is hardly a day that goes by that I didn't think
of you. There is no group in the world that understands the value of the
little ones who can't defend themselves than the people on this list and
without your support the pain I experienced would have been too hard to
bear.

Kathy,

My heart goes out to you and I can't imagine your pain. Please know that we
care deeply and support you in our prayers and thoughts. The circumstances
that we see with our physical eyes and words we hear with our physical ears
are often much different than what is really real. The God that I know and
love sees the heart and even when we fail ourselves and those we love, it is
ok because the penalty was already paid in full. I have received much
comfort from Psalm 51. There is nothing that will make the pain go away. All
of us on this list know that first hand. Actually, we need the pain during
these times. Please take a deep breath and just receive our mental hugs and
prayers.

You and your sons will also be in my prayers. Another son I know was
incarcerated while his mother stood by helpless. In fact, today we celebrate
his execution, while she could only watch. He knows how we feel. 

I know that I am not supposed to preach, so I'll just ask for your
forgiveness. I'm just an old grandpa and businessman. But I know that when
it comes to matters like this, there just is no answer outside what our
hearts truly know.
