Was just thinking about the smell they would come up with on the baby =
wipe
and diaper isle. Guys especially seem to have problems with that =
particular
smell. But as I contemplate it, I know that everyone on this list, even =
the
guys would get misty eyed. Even those smells would be welcome if we =
could
hold our little angels one more time. I'm sure that the grocery store =
would
give us baby power smells, but that isn't the way life really is.=20

When we've had direct experience with "real" things, our perceptions =
change.
The people who never smelled the "real" smell don't understand.=20

My youngest daughter had a job this summer working for the PA program at =
the
university. Her job was to dissect the cadavers so the students could =
study
the different muscles, nerves, and organs. One day she joined me for =
lunch.
I was having a rough day, so when she said she had a rough day, I was
thinking, "yea, what do you know about life?" - anyway, she went on to =
say
"I almost threw up in my cadaver!" It seems that the person she was =
working
on had died of lung cancer and she opened the chest cavity that day. The =
man
was quite large and the body wasn't preserved very well. The smell was
pretty powerful. I'm sure that most of us will notice smells a little =
more
when we walk through the stores thanks to Susan's line.

When you're trying to explain how bad something hurts, you're welcome to =
use
the line. .. "I almost threw up in my cadaver" - I think it ranks up =
with
the greatest of all from Gone with the Wind regarding things that really
don't matter. . . "Frankly my dear, . . ."
