I really appreciate your comments. At the end of the day, it cannot be
forgotten that our kids are human. I know a holocaust survivor who witnessed
terrible things. She told me, "they could do those things because they did not
regard us as human beings"
I wish you could see the picture that our province has on a powerpoint to
educate docs about the importance of genetic screening and testing. It is a
stillborn infant with a proboscis placed beside a stone head of a cyclops. It
is disgusting. It is very telling about how the system views infants with
genetic conditions. If you are going to terminate 97% of them,it is better to
all to think of them as monsters, I suppose. They also had a terrible
description of down syndrome on the website that strongly suggested that such
people were sexual deviants and a threat to society. It was just awful.
Public health care is dangerous in my opinion.
