[tri-wings] Esmirna Lopez

Hi Ezmirna,
I am very sad to know that your baby has been diagnosed with trisomy 18, it is
the hardest thing to have to hear.
My baby girl was diagnosed with t18 when I was 23 weeks pregnant and I too had
to face all those questions and decisions and listen to doctors who gave me no
hope.
I carried my baby for a further 19 weeks (she was born at 42 weeks), I can
honestly say that they were the hardest 19 weeks of my life.
I had a straight forward delivery with Sophie and she came home with us on day
3 and lived with us at home until her death at 13 weeks.
I am still very angry that they did not do more for her as we wanted her to
have heart surgery. But we did get to have those 13 weeks and we will forever
be grateful she was able to spend that time with us.
I'm sending lots of good wishes and lots of strength for the remainder of your
pregnancy.
