[tri-wings] Documentary

I managed to see the documentary yesterday when it aired here in Australia and
I have to admit that I was very impressed.
Brooke I think you and your husband did an absolutely magnificent job - it must
have been so hard to do but I think your love came through loud and clear. It
was a wonderful tribute to your precious angel.

As for Fox news I think that they handled the entire show very well. As they
said they didn't set out to make any particular statement or to side with any
part of the current and very emotive debate but rather to present the human
side of the choices mothers (and fathers) have to make. Given the enormity of
the job I think that they did it very well and I am so glad that they chose
Brooke to represent our angels. The part that stuck most in my mind was your
husband saying that you wanted to see what she looked like, what colour her
hair and eyes were, and that you wouldn't have had that opportunity any other
way.

I now have a copy of Brookes part (I missed the first 15 minutes of the show
unfortunately) on DVD and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to share it with
families who have fears and worries surrounding a trisomy diagnosis. In fact I
think someone should suggest to SOFT that they purchase a copy from Fox for new
families.

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
