Exactly!! Thanks for adding in more information about this. I tend to ramble
and go off on a tangent.
In case anyone wants to look into this. You can amend a death certificate
for quite some time after a death. Each state's laws vary and there can be a
nominal charge for this in some cases. Call your local vital statistics office
to find out the procedure if you feel your child's cause of death is incorrect
or like I said before, it just states Trisomy 13 or 18 without the actual
medical reason for the child's death. T13 or 18 should only be a contributing
factor. Then you have to get the doctor to sign an amendment. When you explain
why, most doctors would definitely do this.
