[tri-wings] Re: Daniels 2nd birthday

Jill,

Thankyou so much for this. I get a knot in my stomach whenever I see a
posting about a birthday, this was so special. The teddy bears for bereaved
mothers sounds like a wonderful thing - to be able to hold something... it
could make such a difference. I remember sending a balloon up for the day
Rosa would have been born from Parliament Hill in London (a lovely peaceful
place with a view of the whole of London), and it was the same, watching it
until it was so tiny... Bet Daniel is having a great time out there, smiling
away knowing his parents love him so much.

Love,

Sophie

I thought I would share what we did for my son Daniels 2nd birthday
(09/11/03-10/08/03). My husband and I wanted to celebreate Daniels birth
not his death, he brought such joy into our lives. We went out and bought 3
bears for a non-profit org. call Sierra's Bears ( sierrasbears.org ).
Sierra's Bears gives out teddy bears to mothers who have lost their children
in stillbirths and early infentcy. We also bought 2 balloons and wrote
messages on them and released them up to Heaven for Daniel to play with. It
was beautiful to see, they just kept on getting smaller and smaller until
they were just pin pricks.
