[tri-wings] Damon's Birthday

It was a wonderful day, bright sunshine with the birds singing. Just like it
was one year ago, that in itself was a 'tink' for me!! Damon's stone was put
in the day before so we were really tickled to see that. The kids did such a
nice job on creating it. We brought lots of flowers and balloons, our lawn
chairs and we set up "camp" for the day. Was just my husband and I and Darren
and Bridget. We had such a nice time visiting and talking and just 'being'
there.

Got to tell you about my major Angel Tink!! I think it's so cool. When we
knew that there was going to be a baby I told myself that I should knit a
blanket........then when we found out about T-13........I said I'm still going
to
knit a blanket. Well, I had not knitted in years, but I did it and it was so
comforting. Well, to make a long story short I have not quit knitting this
whole year. I feel that Damon gave me that gift to knit, and now I always
think
of him when I knit. It was very comforting to sit and knit this winter and
just 'think'. Well, back in January I ordered a lighter weight yarn that was
the
same color and brand that I made his blanket out of. I am planning on making
little mitten ornaments for this coming Christmas in memory of him, and of
course it had to be out of that lighter weight yarn. The lady said it will be
a
few weeks until it comes in, I said OK, thinking it surely will be in by May
21st, cuz I wanted to sit at the cemetery on his birthday and
knit........well, I finally gave up on the yarn coming in, it was taking so
long..........guess what came in the day before on the 20th? yup, the
yarn......and I did sit
and knit and I grinned the whole way!!! Thanks for the major tink little guy.

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, the support is awesome. I
share it all with Darren and what I can with Bridget. I am fully drained today.
