Hi all,
We're not going to be able to go this year! It's only the second time we missed
since we started going in 1995! With the dates being when theyare, over the
4th, it's just too busy of a time for us at both the meat store and the ice
cream parlor. Plus it's alumni weekend here that weekend, so the town will be
booming. Originally, Kim and I had planned to go as a motorcycle trip(Ashlyn
would have flown out and joined us)until we got the dates. Then we figured
Ashlyn and I could fly out and Kim would stay home and handle the businesses.
But anyone who knows us knows i really wouldn't enjoy it without Kim, plus I
would feel guilty leaving him at such a busy time. So I guess I'll be needing
someone to release Erin's balloon! I know there are always plenty of
volunteers there that ar more than willing to do it, so I'm not too worried.
Right now I'm ok with the fact that we won't be there(ok, so why am I teary?),
but Iwill be totally bummed out by the end of June. And I don't even want to
think about the day of the picic! Guess it's good that it will be a busy
weekend for us!
Now we definitely need something on a happier note: I got the word tonite from
my son and his wife that I will be grandma again! They have two boys now, ages
8 and 6. Date is somewhwhere 8 months away!
Hugs to all,
Gloria--mommy to angel Erin
