[tri-wings] Re: Chat Room

I would be interested in being in this chat room. I have never been able to
talk to another parent that gave birth to a trisomy 13 baby like me. so my
vote is yes! Thanks!

Its a lot of work and I don't want to do it if people arent all that
interested.
What is a chat room?
In the past what we had was a chat room where people could talk "real time"
with each other. You simply went to a web page that I set up and then joined in
a real time typed "conversation" - no folks I don't propose to set up a voice
chat room at this stage.

There were designated chat times, one for general trisomy talk (Saturday's for
the US folk, Sunday's for the Aussies) and a specific one for the Wings folk.
(Friday / Saturday). We also had a mid-week chat for the UK folk to join in.

The room was available outside those times for folk to use if they wanted, but
it was up to individuals to organise times and just let me know that they
wanted to use the room, especially if it was a regular thing.

Basically it is a chance to get to know folk a little better on a friendship
level.

Rules were fairly simple - RESPECT. If people wanted to talk trisomy specifics
then that was the topic. Usually however it degenerated into a giggle and hen
session, especially if a few sat down to chat with a glass of wine.

All you need is the ability to access Java script from your computer. The new
room would be limited to 10 people at a time. If it proves more popular than
that I can expand it.

Anyway let me know if your interested.......
