Do you ever have the chance to enlighten others in health care from your 
experience? 

I was wondering what their responses might be. 

I find the response to my speeches at events is usually a shocked silence. It 
takes a while to get them to loosen up

and ask questions. 

At a recent conference, there was a break after my talk, and when we resumed, 
the first person up spent the 
first 5 minutes of her time talking about how badly the system failed Annie. 
That was a conference on 
patient-centred care.
