Hi Demi,
Its nice to see you back.
Unfortunately I don't think that there is anything that anyone can do to
help Alex at the moment. His health is far from good I'm afraid and he is
certainly keeping me on my toes. His blood pressure is just getting higher
and higher. At the moment we are doing test after test to see if there is
anything that can be done but its not looking promising, certainly not
without a huge fight. As of yesterday we may not even be able to do that as
he has come down with the chicken pox again. Second time in 6
months......... and he has had the vaccination plus one other bout of
chicken pox a few years ago. Guess his titres were right, he just didn't
develop any immunity from any of it.
At the moment its not the itching or any of the usual symptoms that are
bugging him, but the headaches. Trying to work out if its his blood pressure
thats causing the headaches or the chicken pox is not easy. Its not
encephalitis at the moment but I am scared that it will go to that.
Personally I'm not sure his immune system can cope with fighting it this
time on top of everything else, all I can do is stand with him and be
here........ and fight the best way I can.
Alex is fine in himself. He is just upset that I have had to cancel picking
up his new hearing aids tomorrow and the visit to the Stick Insect man next
week :-) He so badly wanted to see the Lord Howe Island Sticks (there are
only 5 left in the world and this guy has two that he's breeding) and to do
some stick nymph trading :-))) My son the animal lover......... I have
already had to reassure him that the new pup can't get chicken pox from him,
and that it wasn;t his new chickens that gave him the chicken pox!!!
