Thanks for the congratulations, it is good to hear. It is something we moms
do not hear very often. I love your little girls name, it is beautiful.
I have a friend in Va. who has 5 kids and she homeschools. What made you
decide to homeschool? We are going to do that ourselves when our children
get to that point. Journey Lillian is only 2 and Jonah is having lessons in
heaven so it will be a few years before we get to homeschooling.
Do you think you will try for more children? If you do not want to awnser I
understand. The grief thing is different for everyone and some people are
ready for that question sooner then others. We are going to start trying
again in July or August. We really want more kiddos. I love being a mom and
think it is the best investment I could make with my life.
The grief for me is up and down. This weekend is the first time I feel up
going to do social things,. We are going to church for the first time in
over a month. I just wasn't ready for small talk and conversations that were
shallow.
I feel good about talking to people about other things besides Jonah. I
still talk about him but can talk about other things. I think that is a good
sign. I am also learning to not have big expectations of myself or my hubby
in this grief process. I am perfectly prepared to go into hibernation mode
again if we need too.
We have actaully been putting alot of time into our garden that we have
planted for Jonah. Also my hubby is looking for work right now, so that adds
a bit of pressure. But we hope and trust for the best.
Thanks again for welcoming me in

peace and comfort to your family. We have been members since our baby
Magdalena Jeanne Anne passed away 3-09-02. She lived for 25 days . We
didn't have a prenatal dx. So her dx was a shock to us. Magdalena was our
fifth baby.

Those memories will help you in the times ahead in dealing with your grief.
Don't worry about "getting back to normal". Your "old" normal is over. Time
for a "new normal". That will come slowly. Our children are 14,9,7,2. We
also homeschool, and my 14 yr old has Spina Bifida. With all of our
families challenges I wouldn't change a one of them. Even the painfull loss
of our baby.

through the stages of grief. Slowly.... Which is good. I've been told it
takes a year, and that the second year is actually harder. We'll see.
