Yes - everyone please stop NOW.
I thought I made myself clear enough when the discussion first started that
whilst it stayed SPECIFICALLY on disability it was fine. But this is not the
forum to discuss anyone's political views anymore than their religious
beliefs.
Overall the list "rules" are fairly general to allow the free flow of
conversation but on this they are very clear - no politics, no religion.
Unless the political discussion SPECIFICALLY relates to disability don't
bother bringing it to the list - their are plenty of forums that are happy
to let you post about these issues.
For example if someone were to post Party X doesn't care about the disabled
thats a no go, however if someone wants to post about a petition to a
politician in order to stop Z service for those who are disabled being
halted please go ahead. But even then it belongs on med not family.
Personally I find US politics, actually all politics, pretty boring and
thats probably because I think all politicians are turkeys. Just like I
don't like cars, I hate driving and I hate worrying about cars but I do need
them so consider them a necessary evil. Unfortunately we do need politicians
as well so we do need to pay attention, but on here its specifics as it
relates to trisomy and or disability only not general politics please.
I also apologise profusely for my lateness in responding, as I said I
thought I had addressed this early in the piece. I didn't catch these emails
yesterday as I was at the hospital all day (for me, not Alex - nothing major
just another broken bone :-))) and I had a nurse for Alex last night so I
slept and didn't check my emails till now.
Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
