[tri-wings] ADMIN - Archives

Archive postings can be removed. Its not a huge deal but it is fiddly and I do
need specifics.
I need to know the list (med, family, wings or mosaic) date of the posting and
the number. If you go to the archives you will see that every posting has a
number and I need that as well as the archive date (remember that the list
operates on US dates and times and I operate on Australian dates and times most
of the time). It must also be at the authors request. Unless there are
extenuating circumstances I wont remove someone elses post.

By general consensus years ago the lists opted to keep archives in order to
help other families from our own experiences. The only list that doesnt is
Choices and that is for safety and privacy reasons given the sensitive nature
of that particular list. Also it is part of our "agreement" with freelists to
share information.

Remember that every single thing you send electronically is recorded somewhere
in the world. Even your personal emails. No one should ever ever ever ever post
identifying, personal or confidential material to a public forum, even to so
called "secured" forums and that includes these lists. If you must send
personal details then do it off list and make sure you know to whom you are
sending it and why.

This list is free to anyone to has interest and never will it solicit personal
details, credit cards information, donations etc. Sometimes posts may suggest
that you might like to make a donation to another organisation (eg SOFT or
TRIS) but those organisations are not "the list". This list is just parents
helping other parents and should never be viewed as more than that.

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
