This reminds me of the funny feeling I had after Jessica was born. I was
still in that "thank god she was born alive" stage and relishing the hour
and a half that we had. I felt so blessed to have had her and not one
person congratulated me on her birth! That really felt empty. When people
would say "I'm so sorry" I would respond "don't be, we have an angel!!!" I
know, I know, it's all very well meant and I did not hold it against anyone,
I just felt jipped because noone congratulated us on the birth of our
daughter. Now when I read about an angel I make sure that first I
congratulate them on their child and then I offer my condolences. Maybe
that is wrong too, maybe others don't see it the way I do and would take it
wrong - what do any of you think??
