>>>>>>>We need to get a Special Needs Trust set up for Nicholas. We've
looked into
it twice, but just need to come up with the money for the lawyer fees. This
is my biggest worry...that he will not be taken care of if something should
happen to us, so I need to get on this right away.<<<<<<<
yes you should get on it right away, sad to say but you never know what
might happen ........... also you should talk with your parents.......I have
made sure that both sets of grand parents have it set up as a special needs
trust as well, i.e. if you die before your parents then what would be left
to you goes to your child. That aside I was at a seminar re: special needs
trusts and a man spoke up about money that had already been left in trust to
his disabled child.......not in a special needs trust........there is no
hope for that money now, its income. And remember the years go fast, it
seems like yesterday Rebecca was born and given the "she will die"
prognosis, well now she is 13 and only 5 short years away from getting her
disability pension
