Our son, Nicholas, had undescended testicles also. He got them repaired at age
5 only because he had a hernia and they did it at the same time. His
pediatrician said the undescended testicles (since you can't feel them when
examining) could be a problem starting in the 4th decade of life if left
untreated. So, ask your pediatrician, but ours didn't seem to be concerned at
this early age. We probably wouldn't have had the surgery on the testicles if
he didn't need the hernia repaired. His testicles are only the size of an
infant and he is almost 7 years old. The ped. urologist had a hard time
finding them!
