Hi Karen :o)
Whenever Devon gets eye drops for an eye exam I'll be dipped if I can even
see that his pupils dialate...the same can be said for when he's whacked his
his head really hard and gotten a goose egg...when I'm worrying about if
he's concussed or not people just tell me to look at his pupils...my
response?? "YOU LOOK AT HIS PUPILS AND SEE IF YOU CAN SEE A RESPONSE!!!! I
DARE YOU!!!". His opthalmologist swaers that they DO react to light and the
drops...but again I cannot see it :o( Kinda cool though...when I take pics
of Devon he gets "white eye" instead of red eye...and I can see his
cataracts. For those who just got pics emailed to them you should be able to
see the little white "haze" to the outside edge of at least one of his eyes
in one or two of the pics.
And when Devon got Morphine (NEVER again) it made him startle awake every
10-15 minutes and whimper...like he was having bad dreams or hallucinations
like my dad did on that drug??? He just gets Motrin IF anything...and that's
usually to make Joe and I feel better :o)
