I know how you feel and completly understand your
frustration. My son is not at scool as yet but instead
of they people helping and easing the situation with
my son they make my and his life even more hectic.
They say they will call at a particular time and turn
up hours later or not at all. Its almost like you or
your life doesnot come into their equation of life.
But what they seem to forget or not even realise is
that they have a job because of you! I am currently
trying to get my sons speech therapist to see us. I
have phoned and phoned and left messages. She went to
my sons nursery before christmas (without telling me)
and saw my son and spoke to his one to one about
teaching them some sign language. I told the nursey
staff that I think it would be a good idea for her to
teach his parents the sign language first so that we
would actually understand what he is trying to tell us
when he comes home from nursery. I asked the speech
therapist middle of last year if she could teach us
some sign language as I could see my son had a speech
delay and was getting frustrated when trying to tell
us what he wanted. She said that they were
understaffed and she sent me a photo copy of some
signing sheets.
Arrrrrrrrgh. I could go on but you would all fall a
sleep.
Katy. son with t8mosaic.
