[tri-med] Re: vaccine question

>How do children get admitted to school without them?

I know that you can legally opt out of the requirement by
signing a statement that immunizations are against your
family's religious. And I believe that a written statement
from a doctor that one or more of the immunizations
would be contra indicated for their patient should also be
acceptable.

My only personal experience in not receiving one of the
then standard required immunizations however, dates
back to the late 50's - 60's, when they use to come out
to the schools every year for free immunization clinics.
But I made it all the way to half way through college
before I finally got my small pox immunization for nursing
school. Seems before that they would never give it to me,
because I ALWAYS had either poison oak or contact dermatitis
from wool expouser.
