[tri-med] Re: ultrasound 19weeks and update

 Its been awhile since I have had time to type anything. I actually called =
after this post and the (my OB was on vacation) on call doctor said that fe=
tal kicking sometimes isnt fealt till 21-24 weeks and figured since the bab=
y weighed 10 oz or so I must not be feeling it acurately, or the baby was t=
urning and kicks were miss felt as punches.... anyway I wasnt impressed wit=
ht this answer.

Then on Monday? I think my cervix started hurting/ aching and I ignored it.=
.. kinda blow it off as I needed more rest. Tuesday it still bugged, slight=
ly and Wednesday I called the OB office again and they wanted me in asap ( =
I told them that they had to wait until 9am the next morning cause I had to=
 close at work)
So I went to the OB, where of course the concern was pre term labor. Even t=
hough I told them that I wasnt having contractions, no bleeding ect ect.=20
My doctor of course was back and seen me. My cervix is still closed, which =
was the first concern. Then he looked in my chart and asked about my phone =
call and ultrasound. I told him that I am positive that when I lay down I c=
ant make her kick, but can feel her punch.  I then showed him where she was=
 laying and played "name that part" I showed him that I cant aggitate her t=
o get her to kick.  My doctor then came over and agreed I was feeling the r=
ight body parts and gave her a couple nudges... she didnt kick back.
Sooooo he then walked away and asked when my next appointment was. ( Its th=
e 12th of September)
This is almost exactly 4 weeks from my level 2 ultrasound I just had. He to=
ld me that b4 I see him he wants another ultrasound. So on the 12th I have =
another ultrasound b4 my normal OB appointment.

I have been very emotional lately. One having another girl scares the hell =
out of me. All the fears about Aleah comparing herself, and not understandi=
ng whys ect ect.
Then theres the fact that something is most likely wrong with this baby :o(=
 And all the fears that go with that not to mention just the fact that I do=
nt think I could cope.
I am terrified of finding out pre birth that the baby has something not rig=
ht. Yet I dont want a perfect baby that will out do Aleah in life, some bec=
ause how she may feel and of course the more selfish reasons like how that =
would make me feel.

Lastly the ultrasound is to recheck size is what the doctor put on the slip=
 for me to bring to the appointment person.... according to the tech and pe=
rinitologist the baby looks 3 days small for my due date.......
Which just happens to be the only thing they told me with Aleah's ultrasoun=
d is she looked 3 days small for my due date!!! so more emotional stress an=
d thoughts since as far as all the doctors were concerned in her fetal care=
 she was a healthy fetus.

 On a brighter note we may have came up with a name " Lily Elizabeth"
More Travis's pick then mine.... who knows I have a couple months to figure=
 something out.
