[tri-med] Re: tube feedings and seizures

Sharon,
I thought we were in the clear with seizures, but they started when Caroline
was about 3. She has atonic seizures. And they are almost hard to detect.
She just bobs her head for a few seconds. I thought she was just tired, or
had an ear infection, or was sick. But a therapist said they may actually
be seizures. I was shocked, but an eeg confirmed it. She has had one grand
mal seizure, it scared the heck out of me. We seem to control them with
meds.

And in regards to feeding..we still feed Caroline as slow as you are feeding
Jason. Every time we pushed it, she would start vomiting. We just gave up
and it just has become part of our life. It really is no big deal now.

Take care,
Irene
