Hello Joel and Becky,
Welcome to this support system. I am so sorry you had to find us, but glad
because we truly understand what you are experiencing.
My daughter, Marie, was diagnosed with a large (the largest anyone had ever
seen around here) omphalocele at 11 weeks. We did CVS testing and full
Trisomy 18 was discovered. I carried her until 38 weeks. She was born alive
on September 16 and we had three glorious hours with her. We had made the
decision to do "comfort care", if she'd lived longer.
My prayers are with you and your family. This is a rough time. However, we
were blessed in numerous ways throughout our pregnancy. Marie taught us a
lot, and she will forever be a blessing.
Please feel free to contact us if you'd like to talk more.
Blessings,
Allison
