[tri-med] Re: tri-med excessive amniotic fluid

ANNE-MARIE,
I was at the doctor today for a level two ultra sound and they measured my
amniotic fluid. It is above normal but not yet in a dangerous level, I
believe 25 and normal is under 20. It is very normal to have excess fluid
for a trisomy 18 pregnancy. In fact most all women who I have heard from
are always measuring bigger with t-18 babies.
I am 32 weeks pregnant with a full t-18 baby.

As far as risks, the only risks I have heard of are premature labor or if
you have too much fluid then this possibly could make it a little more
difficult for you to breathe. I have heard of women who had fluid drained
because it caused breathing complications for her. I would ask your
doctor if you are worried about having too much fluid. They can check via
ultra sound.

Please could anyone else tell me if they suffered with excessive amniotic
fluid ? Whilst i was at the hospital last week at 25 weeks i was measuring
32
weeks and feel even bigger this week. Apart from the risk of premature
labour
are there any other risks with this ?
