[tri-med] Re: tri-med Digest kidney cysts

Do you have the results of Jacob's MRI? Is he in any discomfort?

Jayne,
Jacob also has cysts on both his kidneys. Jacob started passing blood in his
urine a couple of weeks ago and his Pediatric Nephrologist ordered a MRI,
we got that done last week and he told us not to worry, that it wasn't
uncommon for kids or adults to get cysts on their kidneys and the typical
way they find them is by accident.
The week before he passed blood, I had taken him for a routine ultrasound of
his kidneys and that's how they found his. Can you get more information
from a CAT scan than with a MRI?? Also, Jacob is just 14, and your dr, said
it was not common in his age. Jacob had the blood work done also and his
creatinine was 2.0. Which is high, but not classified as renal failure.
