Could you mean PDD - Pervasive Development Disorder?  I have not heard of PPD 
before.  PDD-NOS is part of the autism spectrum disorder.  It is used to 
label children with some autistic tendencies/behaviors that don't match the 
classic austism or Aspergers, etc.
