Can you switch schools? Many school districts will allow you to switch
schools if the one nearby doesn't have appropriate facilities or staff. I
would check it out, and put your mother bear hat on! Many teachers and
administrators are very happy to work with you for the benefit of your
child, but some can be very condescending because they believe they are the
"elite educators" and they know better than anybody. No offence intended to
any teachers or school administrators on the list, but we have dealt with
some pretty awful "educators". We are fortunate to have teachers and a
principal who are happy to work with what Elanor needs, and are able to make
it happen! We were considering school in a different area before we moved,
and there was no way we would leave Elanor there. It was mostly ADHD kids,
and the teacher was really frazzled. They promised a one-on-one aide, but
I'm sure the aide would've been called to help control the other kids, as
nuts as that room was! I am so glad we moved and found a great program! I
would suggest being a pain in the neck until Taylor got what he needs!

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT WHERE TO PUT TAYLOR IN THE FALL . THAY WANT HIM IN
SPEC ED PRETTY MUCH ALL DAY AND THATS NOT GOING TO HELP TAYLOR. AND THE 22
YEAR OLD IS IN THERE STILL AND HE WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE SPEECH TEACHERS AND I

REALLY DO'NT WANT THE OTHER SPEECH TEACHER. AS TAYLOR HAD HER IN THE BEGIN
AND SHE IS THE ONE THAT TOOK HIS BOOK AWAY THE ONE THAT HAD PICTURES IN IT
SO HE COULD POINT TO IT AND TELL US WANT HE WANTED. AND SHE DID'NT WANT
SIGNING TO TAYLOR EITHER . SO I WANT TAYLOR IN KIDN IN THE MORNING AND SPEC
ED IN THE AFTERNOON WITH A CLASS AIDE , WILL I WAS TOLD THERE IS'NT GOING TO

BE A AIDE KNOW MONEY. TAYLOR DID FINE THE FIRST PART OF THE YEAR BUT THE
SECOND HALF HE GOT LOST. . SO I WANT TOO SEE IF ONE MORE YEAR WOULD HELP AS
I FEEL THAT THAY HAVE JUST QUIT TRYING WITH TAYLOR AS HE DID GOOD IN AREAS
