Every now and then I wonder if we should have had another child for this
reason. I really don't want Molly to be stuck with looking out for Alex the
rest of her life.

But then, you could have 6 kids and 5 of them not willing to help out.
Life can be tricky sometimes and there sure are not guarantees.
