Not necessarily Gina,
The doctors here have told me point blank that if they had known about
Alex's trisomy diagnosis they would not have bothered doing anything for
him - the approach would have been very passive. So if he had had trouble
breathing they would not have helped him and just let "nature take its
course" - they term it passive treatment.
Not all doctors and hospitals are like that - but sadly that sort of
approach still happens all the time, in every country.
Please dont try and second guess what happened or what might have happened
sweet - the bottom line is that you did EVERYTHING that you possibly could
have with the information that you had at the time. Nobody can do more than
that........ ever!!!
