LOL Rick!!!
I think I understood that and I do hope it came across in my thoughts. Actually
I second guessed that the ped wouldn't be too
concerned and that if you want a short term solution you will need to be the
detectives yourselves.
I do understand about the genetics playing a part too. I think all too often we
forget that the trisomy diagnosis is only a part of
our children and that they can have "other" issues just like other kids, and
that can include personalities!!
My kids also have the genetic inheritence towards constipation and I have to
remember that with Alex. I am so lucky that only one of
my three ever had gastro issues and that was Mandy. She was the one that would
pick up every gastro bug that was going around when
she was a baby. Thankfully she finally grew out of it about age 3.
What I have a hard time with in regards to genetics is that all of my family
LOVE food - except Alex of course. But even that is
improving and he is now actually ASKING for food to eat and starting to tell me
what he wants for dinner - it is soooo nice. Maybe
one day I will actually be able to indulge myself and bake for him. He has
really challenged my personality which has a tendency to
show people how much I love them by baking :-))
Hang in there you guys - all of you will survive this!!!
They may crush your cookie but you always have your fortune.
