Best wishes for your Ella's seizure control. My Joanna has had seizures in
varying forms since about 10 years of age. We have a great pediatric
neurologist who has kept them under control for 20 years. Sometimes
medications work
well, then need to be increased/changed. Some have inherent problems, but the
good they do outweighs the bad (Her Depakote will cause platelet count to
drop - then needs to be lowered, etc.) Currently she is on 4 seizure
medications
including one investigational. She will still have seizures 3-4 times a day
- 20-30 seconds when urinating or defecating, but that is mild compared to
what she would do without the meds, just keep good notes and have a doctor
that
will actually call you back!
Hugs,
