Yep Mandy...it was quite a chapter in our lives...and one of my more "in
your face" advocacy episodes! If enough people ask I'll repost it from my
journal...although I strongly suspect that when I mentioned rehashing it in
my previous post...a collective groan went up amongst our "oldies" :o) I DID
try and keep a sense of humor about it all...and managed it I think? Devon,
however, was NOT laughing during his recovery....and neither were we! Poor
little guy...the whole entire following month...he walked like he had a
potatoe chip between his legs he was trying not to break! Understand he was
only JUST walking...cruising furniture and wall walking actually (he was
3)...and keeping his balance was pretty much taking an act of God :o) He was
SOOOOOOOOOO careful about walking...and his poor wittle scrotum...it looked
more like a somewhat large egg plant...in both size and color :o( Between
that and the 2 other surgical sites...it was not pleasant!!!!!!! Joe and I
learned to wince, AND change a diaper on a boy who was scooting 90 miles an
hour in the opposite direction!!!!
