Keren growls, too--it's hilarious!  She's not annoyed, it's just one of 
her "I'm making an effort" sounds when she's trying something, like 
sitting or standing.  She's been a big smiler since about four months 
(more and more interactive), but her laugh is still just a throaty 
giggle--we love it though.  The other week I think I almost got a real 
laugh:  she was sitting in her booster while I was working in the 
kitchen and I looked over at her and smiled.  She smiled back and went, 
"huh!" (or something like that)--I smiled again, and she smiled and 
again, "huh!"  I think she did it about three times--it was awesome!
