[tri-med] Re: still not smiling???

Genevieve was well over a year old before she smiled. She has always been a
happy content baby. For her 1yr photos no smiles, just the blank look. Her
sister Faith who has been rotten to her is the one that brought her to smile.
Faith would do silly antics and now at 18 months she smiles a smile that lights
up the room. Her little schrunched up nose is so cute! She was always quiet,
still is, I think deep down she is soaking up everything, just waiting for her
own time to do it, but no sounds till last fall and still now the only sounds
she says are bababa, dadada, mamama, lalalala and eieieie. She'll make a growl
sound when agitated heard it twice now, once at Faith and once at me when I
tossed her toy off the sofa. But she will giggle now, I can tickle her and make
her giggle, Dad does it and she won't LOL Genevieve is also very low tone, weak
muscles in face too, esp by jaw, thus feeding issues. I still do facial
exercises with her. I think with Genevieve, things just took
time.... on her own time table.
