Thought some folks might be interested in these web sites.
www.aacap.org is the site of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry. General info for parents and families on developmental,
behavioral, emotional and mental disorders affecting children and
adolescents.
www.lifesplaybook.com is an interactive new site primarily directed at
middle and high school youth but also of interest to youth workers. A site
for children to motivate etc.
www.nami.org is the site of the National Alliance for the mentally ill.
Provides good info for families of the mentally ill on support, education,
advocacy and research.
www.eric.ed.gov/ERIC Educational Information Resources Center. The ERIC
system, through its clearing houses and support components, provides a
variety of services and products that can help you keep up to date. ERIC is
part of the US Dept of Educations. Includes information on disabled and
gifted students.
