[tri-med] Re: so scared

Sorry you had to hear that on a voice mail Jude!

>My oldest daughter is a nurse at MD Anderson cancer center . . . she

She's right, the definition of a fibrolipoma is a lipoma having much
fibrous tissue. Fibrous just means containing or composed of fibers.
And a lipoma is a fatty tumor (or abnormal growth). I use to have a
dog with lots of those, which we never did anything for. And frankly
his allergies to both fleas & flea treatments caused him more problems
then they ever would have. They feel like hard round lumps under the
skin, and can be unsightly, but they don't metastasize to other areas.
So it seems to me that the only concern here should be that it's on her
spine. And if the neurosurgeon wants to defer the removal to oncology
then maybe you'd be better off dealing with someone from that department
then the jerk who left you that message.

My last such message left on my answering machine was from the cardiologist
(not Miss P's) who interpreted her transesophogeal echo, and I quote him,
"Her transplanted aortic valve has started to narrow now too, so there
seems to be some rejection taking place". But here we are a year later
and her cardiologist, who specializes in rare chromosomal kids, doesn't
even feel that a repeat echo is needed yet.
