I dont really know the answer to that one sweet, especially as she is "older".
Choanal stenosis (means a narrowing of the choanae)
is not life threatening in a newborn like choanal atresia (total blockage) but
it does contribute greatly to nasal congestion,
infections, obstructive sleep apnea, low O2 sats and so on. Correction means
surgery though, with nasal stents (literally straws up
the nose) placed for 3 months or longer to ensure it doesn't close over again,
these days they use laser a lot.
Do you see an ENT? Would he listen if you told him that other kids had problems
and you want Kam assessed??
Personally I like to have all possible problems assessed but thats me.......
If you look up, there are no limits.
